Activities of Daily Living
If we live long enough, we all reach a place in the aging process when the chores of daily living become a little too difficult to handle alone. There just isn’t enough energy to keep the house clean or do the laundry. We neglect self-care and hygiene. We forget to take medication and just don’t feel like shopping or preparing meals. And worst of all, accidents and falls become a major concern.
The most important service we provide is sensitive support in those fundamental skills necessary for your personal care:

- Mobility
- Management of Medications
- Continence Related Issues
We will also assist with making medical and dentist appointments and transportation to and from those visits.
Meals
You’ll love the food. The kitchen will be fully equipped with state of the art, high end appliances. Your full-time cook will serve three home cooked meals daily that taste great and prepared with your nutritional needs in mind.
And, you’ll have a snack bar fully stocked with daily munchies and drinks 24 hours a day! Enjoy a hot cup of tea, coffee or a refreshing cold drink anytime along with a delightful treat.
Activities
Activities at Alva Senior Living will be designed to give you opportunity to explore your interests, remain socially engaged, increase your faith, and keep your body moving.
Our library will be filled with rich volumes that include classics, history, religion, biography, fiction, and inspiration.
A grand piano will fill our living and dining room with beautiful music. There will be bible studies, art classes, exercise sessions, and informational classes to stimulate your interests and talents.
Irresistible outdoor spaces will provide abundant opportunities for exercise. Peaceful walking paths around large oak trees, benches and comfortable outdoor seating, raised garden beds, and swimming pool are designed to help you remain active.

Transportation
We will arrange transportation to and from appointments, shopping, worship services, community and cultural events.
